The University of Pittsburgh strives to build and maintain a positive and healthy working, learning and living environment. Reporting concerns, asking questions and understanding Pitt’s response to them is critical to this process. The Pitt Concern Connection enables our campus communities to elevate irregular or troublesome workplace, academic, and other issues so that they can be reviewed, addressed, and resolved. Report an issue or ask a question online, by telephone or via text message.

Academic Referral (Pittsburgh Campus)

An Academic Referral (Pittsburgh Campus) should be made when a faculty or staff member learns that a student is struggling academically; dealing with a personal issue that may interfere with academics or require coordination with the instructor; or is not attending classes. All primary and secondary instructors, as well as other staff across campus with Pathways access can log in to Pathways to make an academic referral.

View instructions about how to issue the referral in the Pathways platform. More information about the referral process.
